Weather is changing and it's time to head south. With global warming in full effect and the world order

in disarray I really need some time in the bush away from the nasty politics and negative vibes.

  Upon my reach last January I found our trails to be in immaculate condition considering no one rode on them in 7 months outside of the odd donkey, rastas carrying fruits of their labour and the numerous packs of goats.  

Hopefully they will be spared from destruction as the hurricane season is still in full form until Dec. 1st.   

Now with a solid trail to build on I plan on adding a dozen "A" lines and re-building up the berms.

These features will incorporate any natural ugly challenges along the way and off the beaten path.

It won't be hard to create fun times when I have so much amazing terrain to choose from.

I have seen some of those "A" lines in my mind as I built and rode them on a daily basis.

When I trailblazed the Negril hills I did it in a pre-cambrian manner without the aid of modern devises like GPS.

I actually wondered through the jungly bush with marking tape, spray paint,  machete & saw searching for lines.

The result was time consuming, lost frustrating moments wrapped up in jungle wire and there was also amazing times when I discovered rare sites and features my bush brothers never encountered and the people I met.

Our next dig will include smart phones, GPS and and other assisted methods to create a new magical maze.

The "A" line features will be a challenge.

The roller coaster build style and location of the trail system makes for a hard time transporting building supplies such as dirt, rocks, etc. as wheel barrows will not cut it up on the limestone and corral rocks that form the hilly paths so bag and carry is our method. Water is rare in the Negril Hills as it is notoriously dry when it's wet island wide so our dig depends on weather when we can harvest falling rain and work when the dirt is wet.

Anyone that has visited here and rode in the jungle probably understands the lack of hardwood that we

can normally harvest in our home town trails but here in Jamaica any hard wood is rare and lust worthy.

 I have imagined over the years that any bridge or teeter totter will be in jeopardy of repurpose.

Yes todays features are tomorrows roofs and doors for some poor bushman just trying to survive.

I won't be depressed when they go missing it will be a make work project.
